Stainless steel strip can be defined as the product of ultra-thin stainless steel sheet. It is usually be used to all kinds of industry production. Its maximum width is not over 1220mm, but its length is not limited. Classified by processing methods, stainless steel strip can be classified as cold rolled and hot rolled.
Cold rolled stainless steel strip:
Its raw material is stainless steel coil. It is rolled by cold rolling mill in ordinary temperature. Its normal thickness is 0.1mm~3mm, width is 100mm~2000mm.
Stainless steel strip has advantages of smooth surface, accurint size, good mechanical properties and so on. Stainless steel strip can be rolled and processed as coated steel plate. Its producing processes are scouring, ordinary temperature rolling, lubricating, annealing, smoothing, cutting and packing.
Hot rolled stainless steel strip:
It is rolled by hot rolling mil. Its thickness is 1.80mm~6.00mm, width is 50mm~1200mm.
It has advantages of low hardness, easy processing, good ductility and so on. It producing processes are scouring, high temperature rolling, lubricating, annealing, smoothing, cutting and packing.
The differences between cold rolled stainless steel strip and hot rolled stainless steel strip:
1. Cold rolled stainless steel strip has good strength, hot rolled stainless steel strip has good ductility.
2. Cold rolled stainless steel strip thickness is ultra-thin, hot rolled stainless steel strip thickness is thick.
3. The surface quality, exterior and size accuranty of cold rolled stainless steel strip are better than hot rolled stainless steel strip's.
